Open Decks is a creative & safe space where DJs can dance, mingle, and practice their sets live. We particularly want to uplift our women, non-binary, and trans DJs during this event, but anyone who wants to play is welcome. Bring your friends and come hang (there's even a free pool table)!

Renowned for her dynamic sets, Helang has graced stages alongside industry titans such as Eric Prydz, Testpilot (Deadmau5), John Digweed, Camelphat, Lilly Palmer, Argy, Mathame, and more. With releases on esteemed labels like HE.SHE.THEY., Manual Music and Stress Records, Helang’s musical journey culminated in the launch of her own imprint, Dauntless Records, where she unapologetically approaches the industry by challenging conventions in the male-dominated world of dance music.

Supporting Helang are Brooklyn’s rockstars JSMN and Senaida, who are also paving a way for diversity and inclusion in the music space.

This event is all about celebrating the creativity and accessibility of vinyl- collecting, curating sets, and sharing music that moves us. No matter what your level of experience is, we believe that vinyl is for everyone—and we’re here to foster that spirit of inclusivity. Yes, even for non-women DJs :)

We are brewing up a sexy halloween party in the Eris basement featuring techno sets with LIVE OPERA and LIVE VIOLIN! We will have the techno bunker and lounge open. All-femme lineup, as always. Wear a costume and come dance your ass off. All genders welcome <3

Support Women DJs and AEMPD are teaming up for an OPEN DECKS to uplift the femme community! Slots will be prioritized to the women and gender expansive community.

Slots are 30 minutes long. Play any genre you like. First come, first serve- so arrive as early as you can to Cafe Balearica. We will be in the basement. Entrance is free, so bring your friends to support you! The venue has 2 CDJ 2000s and 900NX2 mixer.

Support Women DJs is a movement for gender equity in the EDM industry. Based in NYC, we host raves with all-women lineups and foster a queer-inclusive community of DJs & Supporters. Follow along @supportwomendjs on all platforms (we even have a podcast!)

AEMPD is a US based 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership organization serving as a Trade Association for the Electronic Music Industry. We recognize the immense talent, creativity, and passion that drives the electronic music industry. Our mission is to foster an ecosystem where electronic music artists can thrive, learn, collaborate, and flourish in their craft.

We are so pumped to offer 1 hour open decks slots for our community on October 16th! Signups are only in-person so make sure to come to one of the listed dates to secure your slot.

Open Decks is a creative & safe space where DJs can dance, mingle, and practice their sets live.

$5 entry allows us to reserve the venue. Guarantee entrance with ticket in advance or pay at the door. When you arrive at Hell Phone, you will check in with us to get signed up. Sign up is in-person on a first come, first serve basis. Sign-ups start when the doors open at 8PM and slots are 15 minutes.

SHLYN @shlynbeats will kick off the night with a set from 8PM-8:30PM, and the first slot will begin at 8:30pm. Bring your friends to dance and support you during your set!

We particularly want to uplift our women, non-binary, and trans DJs during this event, but anyone who wants to play is welcome! All genres of music accepted. Just come with a pair of headphones and a Rekordbox paired USB.

Hell Phone has 2 Pioneer CDJ900NXS and a Pioneer DJM450 mixer. Please note the CDJs do NOT accept FLAC files and do NOT have hot cue functionality. If you want to practice your set on CDJs beforehand, you can use code ALESSANDRA593056 to book a session at Pirate Studios. Electro Cherry can also provide tutoring prior to the open decks for a small fee at Pirate Studios.
