These 12 DJs are shaping the SF Bay Area’s party scene with their unique energy, electrifying sets and vision for the Bay’s upcoming collectives and labels. Check them out below…

DWATA

DWATA, born and raised in Marikina, Philippines, is a San Francisco-based DJ and producer whose journey in music is as dynamic as her sets.

With a name inspired by the Tagalog word for “goddess” or “enchanted,” DWATA channels that same energy into her performances, blending groovy house rhythms with catchy breaks, dark dub twists, and deep drum and bass cuts. Her sound is an unforgettable experience, creating a lasting connection with her audience.

DWATA has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including John Summit at the Cow Palace, Diplo at The Great Northern, Alesso at The Midway, and MK and Sonny Fodera at SVN West. Her talents have also graced Dirtybird Radio and iconic Bay Area venues like the Golden Gate Bandshell. Whether it’s a massive club or an intimate party, DWATA’s sets always bring the perfect vibe, showcasing her ability to adapt and deliver a fresh, immersive sonic journey every time.

AASH

AASH is a visionary DJ and producer whose music transcends boundaries, weaving the hypnotic rhythms of organic and melodic house & techno with the rich, evocative textures of South Asian and Middle Eastern vocals and sounds.

Known for crafting DJ sets that pulse with a higher BPM, AASH creates an immersive spiritual experience designed for the dance floor. 

Guided by a deep connection to the healing power of sound, AASH's music is ethereal, meditative, and profoundly transformative. Each curated track is a journey that invites listeners to lose themselves in lush soundscapes, allowing their senses to dissolve and uncover a place of deep inner healing. 

AASH has played at San Francisco's most beloved EDM clubs and also local queer bars. She was direct support for KSHMR at 1015 Folsom (hand-picked by KSHMR's team), opened for Alesso's show at the Midway and for Anabel Englund at Audio. Her other shows were collaborations with local and diverse collectives at venues such as Monarch, Great Northern, Bergerac, F8, YOLO, Jolene's and El Rio. As a queer, South Asian woman, AASH is passionate about expanding the face of electronic dance music and creating more inclusive club spaces.

DJ Dailo Mac

DJ Dailo Mac (she/her) is a seasoned open-format DJ with more than two decades of experience.

She has a knack for thrilling audiences of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds, whether it's at corporate functions, intimate private events, collaborative performances with other artists, wedding receptions, bustling clubs, or high-energy K-pop dance soirées.

Her musical expression knows no bounds, as she seamlessly blends a variety of genres including hip-hop, R&B, reggaetón, freestyle, pop, edm and old classics. Her unique style involves skillfully intertwining beloved tracks from the past with the latest hits, creating a dynamic and nostalgic atmosphere that resonates with audiences of all ages. She is also deeply committed to her community, collaborating with various local organizations, including Dear Community, Asians are Strong, Frameline, the City of Hayward, and the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.

Camillionaire

Bay Area native Camillionaire carries her profound passion for music to all events.

 Drawing upon her classical musical theory training and wide experience playing drums, percussion, and piano, she takes a traditional approach to playing current musical styles. Deeply influenced by music from across the globe, as well as a nostalgia for early aughts raves and Bay Area hip hop, Camillionaire brings a seasoned perspective to every stage. She is an emerging force pushing music to defy geographical borders and expectations to create an exceptional and unique energy that represents the Bay Area— eclectic, diverse, and always evolving. 

Exciting moments in 2024 included playing a live renegade set in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, playing direct support for Goshfather and playing in LA for the first time! She also helped start the Neighborhood Watch Radio Collective this year.

CIANA

CIANA (aka Alex Giardino) is a bilingual creative force: a writer, translator, event creatrix, and DJ, who’s lived in Latin America, Italy, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Having reveled on dance floors all over the world, Ciana knows deep in her body that when we dance, we leave the mundane world behind and elevate to higher realms, where we connect, feel alive, and get free. Ciana fuses world beats, deep & organic house, funk & pop remixes. Her sets invite people to sweat, sway, and sing together. Maestra of a whimsical, raucous ritual, Ciana invites it all.

 In 2024 alone, Ciana DJ’d at a dozen events, ranging from a yoga retreat at Prana del Mar in Mexico to private parties in art galleries and art studios. She's led dance journeys from Pacific cliffs to small music venues. With Eliza J, she also played Dance O'Ween, an annual street party in San Francisco, where thousands of people partied on the streets of San Francisco.

She’s somatically trained with Tasha Blank’s Powerhouse DJ School, and she’s a part of the eco-performance, global Collective BAE, founded by Dreeemy in NYC. She’s also a cofounder of The Score Collective.

Karlita

A dancer, community organizer and  DJ, Karla Flores, aka Karlita, fuses her Bay Area roots and Central American background into her art.

Using dance as a portal into other creative outlets, she's been able to travel and teach internationally, and has thrown groundbreaking events such as AfroRooted. She views the art of DJing as a musical love letter to her dance community, blending rhythms of hip-hop, funk, disco, and Afrohouse.

Karlita has been an active dance battle DJ since 2023 for open styles, breakin' battles and has expanded to pop-up events such as OMCA, Days Like This, and more. Her credits include: BADECollective, ReVision, All The Way Foundation, East Bay Get Down, I Need A Break Vol 3, Str8jacket, and BeMovement Collective.

Hunter Green

Hailing from the vibrant suburbs of Chicago, Hunter Green emerges as a formidable force in San Francisco’s DJ scene, carving out a distinct niche at the intersection of tech house and minimal deep tech.

She captivates audiences with a signature blend of high-energy beats and seamless transitions. Known for her dynamic sets and deep passion for music, she delivers an unforgettable experience that keeps the dance floor alive.

She is a proud alumni of the Blue Bear School of Music and has played at a large variety of clubs and events throughout the city, as well as for HydeFM Radio. She is involved in the Runs Deep collective, and also started Empress, a community for femme-identifying DJs in the city, with her DJ teacher and mentor Elz Henderson. Empress hosts a monthly event at Zhuzh that is dedicated to highlighting femme-DJs in the music scene, and bringing people together in a safe and welcoming space.

Dogtooth

Dogtooth is a San Francisco-based DJ who has been commanding the decks with high energy, dark, and groovy tunes for over four years.

Their sets are a dynamic fusion of techno, dark groove, acid, UKG, and house, and their sound is defined by raw energy and an experimental edge—often shifting genres mid-set.

As a resident DJ for Perfect Dark, a record label and collective focused on fostering community through a shared love of electronic music, Dogtooth is constantly pushing the limits of her artistic abilities and exploring new sonic landscapes. Recently, she played a standout show for the iconic Alpha Tracks.

LA.CO.NY

LA.CO.NY. is an open format DJ and music producer whose goal is to bring positive party vibes to her audience through exploring multiple musical genres including house, tech house, pop, hip hop, to create a euphoric dance floor.

She recently released her first record, “Heat Street”, and plans to release an EP this year. Last year, she opened for the legend, MK, at 1015 Folsom in San Francisco, and also opened for BUNT.’s sold out “In The Round” tour as direct support. LA.CO.NY. has also played festivals like Fresh Start alongside Louis the Child, Tchami, Kaskade, and VNSSA, and played at San Francisco’s hottest venues, including 1015 Folsom, Monarch, Bergerac, F8, 111 Minna, The Salesforce Tower, and many more. She’s played internationally at clubs in Ibiza (Tantra), and Valencia, Spain (Loco Club). 

Apart from opening for massive artists, LA.CO.NY.’s highlight from 2024 was hosting a huge end-of-summer Sunset Beach DJ set with fellow badass DJ and friend, mojo (Mel Heyside). The two plan to host more dance parties in 2025, so stay tuned…

vRok

vRok is a Bay Area native, raised on Disco and Soul along with Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix.

She’s been spinning Chicago and Detroit inspired house and techno for 15 years, and is influenced by Honey Dijon, Carl Craig, Moodymann, and Todd Terry with a sprinkle of Gaga to keep it fierce. She’s recently provided support for MK at 1015, produced a few shows at F8, as well as played around the city at The Oasis, Decodance, and the Valencia Room.

vRok also runs Digital Rain, a SF based production company with a mission to showcase and promote fem and queer djs in San Francisco. Digital Rain focuses on reviving San Francisco's club culture and returning it to its inclusive gay roots. “Our focus is the music, we don't chase trends.” She also recently released her first single, Faux Trail.

Tara

Tara is a house and techno DJ, quickly making her mark on the San Francisco scene and lifting others with her.

She learned how to DJ two years ago via Femme House, and has since opened for women who inspire her including Jackie Hollander, Lilly Palmer, LP Giobbi, Mary Droppinz, Nala, VNSSA and more. She brings a range of subgenres for high energy and dynamic sets. Tara also co-founded the collective Playhouse with Savita Sastry (duo: SAV + TARA) to diversify the decks. Along with playing at the city’s premiere venues, she organizes events to grow the community, culture, and opportunities for others to play too.

Xyme

Xyme is a dynamic DJ based in San Francisco, originally from Quebec, Canada.

Known for her unique ability to blend genres and create unforgettable atmospheres, her style is refreshingly eclectic! With over seven years of experience, Xyme specializes in 80s music, electro, goth, industrial, new beat, acid, house, and techno.

In addition to DJing, Xyme is a multi-disciplinary artist — primarily a dancer and singer —currently working on an acoustic project while exploring electronic music production. As a vocalist, she strives to merge her singing talents with her DJ sets and original projects, adding a deeply personal and authentic touch to her craft.

Having performed at iconic Bay Area venues and special events like rooftop parties and goth nights, Xyme is a rising force in the local music scene. Her dedication to growth, artistic exploration, and community empowerment makes her an inspiring figure among women DJs in the Bay Area.
