Pulse of the City: New York’s Women DJs
Women DJs are rewriting the language of nightlife. Their sets are archives, healing practices, and stories in motion: raw, vulnerable, and electric.
We spoke with three remarkable women shaping the city’s soundscape: Mica Sociale, Senaida, and CMD+Jazmine. Each brings her own journey, influences, and approach to building community and expanding sonic possibilities.
Interview with DJ Selena Faider
When Selena Faider steps behind the decks, the energy shifts. Her sound is a kaleidoscope — soulful grooves, high-energy rhythms, and radiant vocal lines that manage to feel both intimate and explosive. Whether you’re streaming her virtually or catching her on a packed dancefloor, her sets draw you in, lift you higher, and leave you glowing long after the last beat fades.
Paris-born and London-honed, Faider is quickly rising as one of house music’s most magnetic new voices.

The bass was so heavy you could feel it thumping through the floor, rattling your shoes, and resonating deep in your chest.
Raving with Rach: Prosper Talks Purpose, Power & Upcoming Plans
Rach Brosman Interviews DJ Prosper.
“I'm for the girlies. That's what I was built for. And, like, even my bloodline, we have always been in charge. I love it.”
SUPPORT WOMEN PRODUCERS
One thing about Support Women DJs is that we are not just about who is playing behind the decks, but we are also invested in who is making the art behind the tracks.
Femme producers are on the rise. The girls are learning Ableton, putting in the hours, and creating incredible music. It’s inspiring, it’s overdue, and it’s happening now.
Fashion on the Decks: Style Icons in the Booth

For many women DJs, style is part of the performance: a visual language that speaks as loudly as the bassline. From underground clubs to festival stages, what we wear behind the decks becomes a symbol of who we are, what we represent, and how we take up space.
In this piece, we'll highlight DJs across the globe — from the U.S. to Latin America to Europe — who are not only redefining sound but also reshaping the aesthetics of nightlife.
